The Residence - NO 57

l was a bit hesitant to book a room here because of the reviews . However, Room and bathroom were clean.Didnt find any strands of hair.As the facilities were inside the room, it is a possibility that the room is well maintained.Bedsheets was clean and ironed.Furniture well maintained.Hotwater ,room heater, kettle worked.Towels were not provided, had to call and it was given.20 mins away from the Edinburgh station.Lots of cafe, restaurants, supermarket nearby.Overall, l had a pleasant stay.

TV doesn't work, asked to fix but wasn't sorted.I think it just doesn't work.No kitchen.No staff at the place ,so requests have to be made much earlier and a reminder is also needed.

Location close to city centre and main attractions

Heaps. Insufficient towels (only 1 bath towel for 2 people, no bath mat, no hand towel or facecloth), supplied on arrival, had to phone to get more. Orange mould in shower, as had not been cleaned properly for ages. Toilet area very small (your face nearly in hand basin when sitting on toilet) no toilet roll holder (toilet paper had to sit on rubbish bin), Very little room to move around, would not suit those with mobility issues. Wifi instructions in our welcome pack were totally wrong, when tried to call owner to ask about this they did not reply, luckily fellow guest had been sent correct one. The room booked was called Deluxe Double, definitely NOT Deluxe.

By the time I arrived in Edinburgh staying the night was the option before moving on the next day, so I didn't want to fork out loads of cash. Would have been very good if I could have watched the footy.

There was no remote for the TV which had no ancillary buttons on it at all, so it was completely inoperable. Which meant I missed the football, which wasn't great.

Location was good. Walkable to lots of areas.

The tv was broken and it never got addressed. The bathroom didn’t have enough toilet paper for our three day stay and only the condition dispenser had anything in it. So no shampoo or body wash. We had to find a cleaner from another room to get those things. Property owners not responsive to messages.

Very good for a family of three, they allow us to check in early, a big thank you as it was raining so hard that time.

Should have fixed the shower holder, the pillows were too hard.

we went in and it was filthy, we ended up booking somewhere else to stay as it was not clean

Die Lage ist gut und es ist insgesamt ruhig im Haus. Eine kleine Terrasse ist vorhanden. Leider keine Sitzgelegenheit dort.

Das Zimmer ist duster und die Toilette viel zu klein. Die Matratze ist zu weich. Das Mobiliar ist etwas herunter gekommen, der Teppich sollte gewechselt werden.

Ménage plus que médiocre ainsi que la qualité de la literie.

Posizione ottima, struttura molto pulita e personale gentilissimo.
