Hill Top Farm Lodge

Being just outside the residential area, close to amenities yet far enough to feel like a proper getaway.

Facilities leave alot to be desired. Some damaged ornaments and chairs that should be disposed of. Unfinished renovations need to be completed. Shower had "only" hot water. The braai was a quick makeshift contraption put together last minute. Google location was completely wrong and finding it was a nightmare.

Unfortunately I dont have any positives

Firstly, your clients need to know that they cannot get to your property using a car, a bakkie is required for travel. it needs to clearly state that you have to drive through secluded dirt roads and sugar cane fields to get to the accommodation. The directions take you to the incorrect location. there are NO clear signage pointing you in the direction of Hilltop Farm lodge. The lady doesnt know how to give proper directions advising on major landmarks to look out for (as there are not roadsigns either). We drove around for 2 hours trying to find the place using the directions provided to us. This is just the drive to accommodation. The accommodation itself, is not the best. There was no cold water in the shower- scalding hot water only.... and then only cold water- no mixture of both. Tap handle comes off. Window and burglar guards are broken. water is mud brown. bathroom window is broke. It was a complete nightmare. we wanted to up and leave on arrival, however we checked in, in the dark of night and were afraid we would get lost in the sugar cane fields once again.

Absolutely loved the views the peace and quiteness , the it was clean went there cos we were just finished up our working holiday after spending a whole month in Portshepston and working all day and having busy days we wanted to just relax and get away from the busy city and also give my son that little experience of what it was like to live on a farm ,that crispy fresh air it was amazing as for the host she is the most amazing host always had a smile on her face when speaking such a gentle soul .

Just the shower and the bathroom window but I know my host is going to sort that out since we do intend on going back .

I got lost due to GPS or Navigator not picking up the location.
