Luxury Suite Corso Umberto

The apartment was right next to the main shopping street, in the centre. It wasn't very noisy, and the apartment was nicely renovated and stylish. It was well equipped: fridge, air conditioning, coffee making facilities etc. It was very clean. The host was very friendly and helpful in getting us there (a bit tricky through the walking district). Taormina is a lovely time but quite full of tourists, so a quicker route would be desirable. The host gave us instructions on how to get a taxi closer to the apartment but the driver ignored this.

There was a badly disturbing smell of sewer and also a bit of a smell of mould in the apartment. It was hard to use the toilet and bathroom because of the smell. In general, it is quite common in Italy to have some sewer smell in apartments and even expensive hotels, and mould isn't as rare as you would like it to be. But this was quite extreme. I felt nauseous and had stomach problems the whole time, and this miraculously disappeared when we left - so won't be going again. Thinking of this nuisance, it wasn't really worth the money to get a slightly nicer place.

Great location, clean, spacious, modern. The breakfast patisserie nearby was friendly and had a large selection of tasty pastries and cakes to choose from. The Sike restaurant, just downstairs offers a good selection of well prepared food.

Smell of sewer gas as you enter the apartment. If you open the doors it is fine.

Excellent property, clean and lots of space. Breakfast in the cafe opposite was a nice touch.

Fantastic location, easy to walk to everything, very convenient. Clean, comfortable property with plenty of space. Really enjoyed the balcony where we could see the Main Street, but was quiet at night.

We loveeeeeed our stay here! Wow, blown away! The size of this apartment was huge. So clean, modern and in the best possible location. Right on the main shopping strip. Once the windows/doors are closed you wouldnt even know though because it blocks out all noise. We wish we stayed longer!
