Glacis Heights Villa

Very Nice stay at Béryl & Bryan place. Local Diner & very fresh breakfast were wonderful. Snorkling just down the villa is a must do with beautiful coral reef fishes and tortles. Thanks again for your warm welcoming.

Lovely light and spacious room with a big bright bathroom including a spa bath and big shower, nice balcony with a view of the ocean. The same sun set view could be enjoyed from the pretty pool area. The corner shop down the drive way is very useful and just across the road from there is a secluded little beach great for snorkelling.

The employees were very friendly and welcoming. The room was okay and comfortable. The different facilities were accessible. It was very kind & we appreciated a lot that we were given extra few hours to enjoy our stay.

It would have been nice to have a more comfortable couch in the self-catering apartment.

Staff- Nihar's behaviour is ok. Brian-owner is good, helpful.

Picture of the property showing in the Booking.com is not matching with reality Location of property is at high level from the road level, access road is very steep, not so easy to walk, you have to be physically strong. For ladies, it will be very tough. No arrangement for lunch in property, first day we suffered, restaurant is very far from the property, Finally I have to request Brian, arranged something from supermarket, somehow managed. Dinner arrangement in the property at national holiday and Sunday is not available. Very Costly compared to facilities.

The owner of the apartment, Brian, is a special guy who really is enjoyable to talk to. The accommodations themselves for what we rented was a bed and breakfast, not self-catering, but we managed in any case. Unfortunately we arrived on a SUnday and Monday was a national holiday so they did not offer dinner. However, Brian went to a local store and got us a very good pizza and bottle of wine which held us over. Our balcony had a lovely view of Silhouette Island and the possibility of lovely sunsets. They had parking available for all guest. We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the veranda. This island has many flying foxes (fruit bats) and right next store is an enormous mango tree. Well the bats love mangoes and we literally spent hours watching them swoop into this magnificent tree, fight with one another and then eat the mangoes. It was like being in a nature reserve up in the trees! The german couple who were there at the same time were equally excited to watch these enormous flying foxes. There is also a pool at the property.

The road up to the property is steep, steep, steep. When you get a message to put the car in lowest gear, turn off the AC and maintain a minimum of 20 km/hr to get up the hill, you know you are in for something. Since most rental cars on the island are Hyundai i10, there isn't that much power so rev the engine and shoot up that hill!
