IDA'S Homestay

The location was superb, right on the water and in the main street. The accommodation is traditional jogolo style. I loved it. The staff were beautifuo, and very helpful.

Small room. Wifi ok. Fan in room but it was over bed with mosquito net, no air could get through. Bathroom tight. Water cool. Bed comfortable but small.

It was ok

I booked for 2 nights and wish I could stay longer because it feels so relaxing and tranquil. The room is well-maintained and clean. I really appreciate how they do things sustainably and stay true to living with nature.

My house was right near the sea, which was lovely though a bit noisy at night (I'm a sensitive sleeper). I had an excellent nasi campur, delivered to my veranda, very nice! The room with open-air bathroom was a dream! I just adored the lay-out of the place: the big green coconut-dotted yard is the star of this place. The only thing lacking was a cool breeze on the veranda, but then the rainy season is always warmer...

The views and the people

Not really worth it if you get woken up several times a night because rats sneak into your room, chew holes in your snack packages, and keep coming back for food. On top of that, there's no way to regulate the shower temperature, so you're stuck with cold water only.
