Beautiful house. Lovely people. Great food. Very comfortable.

This town is well worth visiting, and if you visit, make sure you stay with these folks. The home is gorgeous in true Japanese style. The hosts are lovely people. The food was definitely tailored to our Western tastes which we appreciated. I learned that they get lots of Americans, so they had done a good job of blending the Japanese with the American tastes. The beds were divinely comfortable. The hosts went out of their way to transport us to the train and to sightseeing venues. The town is quaint and not overrun with tourists. The temple walks were wonderful. I cannot say enough about this town or this place.

There was not one thing I didn't like. This was a high point in our 21 day trip.

The accommodation is very traditional with paper screen walls, sliding doors, tatami mats and futon mattresses on the floor so as much an experience as an overnight stay. My partner who is very sensitive to uncomfortable mattresses had no trouble sleeping and said the futon mattress was very comfortable. The accommodation is very spacious with separate bedroom (with AC), sitting area(with AC), toilet and shower. The decor is simple but very tasteful. The hosts are lovely and both speak some English. Breakfast is included and this too is an amazing experience in terms of presentation and how you learn how to take breakfast Japanese style. Location is excellent being a short walk from the station and close to Motsu Ji temple and garden complex. If planning to stay in a Ryokan ( traditional Japanese hotel ) this would be a great introduction to ease yourself into it.

It takes a bit of getting used to taking off shoes and then the provided slippers before walking on the tatami.

Excellent bed and breakfast with wholesome owners who really care about meeting travels and making their stay memorable!
