Friendliness of the staff.

Rooms are not private (all facing central area). Access to the rooms after hours, especially for elderly people (lots of up and down stairs). Towels and hair dryer (not very good quality).

It felt like being at home. We were well taken care of. One of the best family-run places I have ever visited. Liked every small personalized touch including facilitating every single request we made. The rooms were super clean and spacious. The breakfast was awesome and the staff was professional and pleasant to be with.

I cannot think of anything. We loved everything.

Rooms, owners

The hosts are wonderful. They were lovely to talk with and super helpful. It was like being taken care of by family. The room had excellent amenities/thoughtful touches. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic.

House on Olof Palme is as beautiful a guesthouse as you will find in Windhoek. Clean and well maintained, in a safe area, well run, pool, comfy rooms. Mostly a business crowd and regulars, which speaks for the experience. But what makes the place special is the hosts. They know when to chat and make one feel welcome, and when to stay in the background to let guests enjoy their stay. Their staff are well trained and always cheerful. Renette's restaurant recommendations were top notch - not a bad meal while we stayed in town. When we left for our inland trip they even provided us with a well-stocked ice box. We are not normally making aquaintances on vacation. But with these two? One simply wants to stay in touch. Thank you both for your warm hospitality! Until we meet again.
