Bamboo Home stay Hiriketiya

The most welcoming hosts. Location is great too, very close to the beach. Our child enjoyed so much playing in the garden with their adorable small cat and dog, we all did. We also saw lots of fireflies next to the house, for the first time and it was just magical.

The room was perfect, spacious and even had warm water! The place itself is very nice and the owners are lovely, we got breakfast every morning which was super good and they also helped in arranging a transfer back to the airport. Staying here a little bit more than two weeks we also gained the affection of the house cat and the dog, who would sometimes wait for us in the night on the road to escort us back home!

The family running the house is very nice. Everything is clean and tidy and you are surrounded by nature. The beach is a short 2-3 minute walk. The rooms and beds are very confortable and they are completely covered with a mosquito net. Bathrooms are private which is a big plus.

Very friendly family, who are running the homestay. The room is very simple, but enough. It's very close located to the surf beach Hiriketiya.

Hosts are wonderful human beings

The hosts are friendly. The location is decent, with a pretty garden for breakfast and relaxation.

It's not very easy to communicate in English, and the hosts could show a bit more interest in the needs of the guests. The fan was not very efficient and it became very hot in the room. They should consider installing a larger roof fan. Ask for Sri Lankan breakfast, which is more tasty than the Western. The amount is limited, and if you're hungry, you're gonna need to eat again soon..

We had a great time at the bamboo homestay. Very nice family, best breakfast and rice and curry,ask the brother for lunch or dinner. Monkeys jumping through the palms and peacocks will wake you up. We will definitely come back, thanks for your welcoming 🙏

The house is surrounded by beautiful palm trees. You can see squirrels and peacocks every day. The couple that runs the place is very nice and helpful. They make really good juices. The beach is only 2 minutes away. The house is super quite and you will feel at home always.
