Le Grá Vineyard and Winery

Lovely location, beautiful surroundings. Perfect retreat from driving. Nicky's platter of food was amazing and amazing value and the wines are excellent. We would have stayed longer if we could.

The location was great - peaceful but still close to Masterton. The hosts were terrific - friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed being able to use the e-bikes at the venue.

Alles war außergewöhnlich gut: die ruhige Lage, die Sauberkeit, das geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, das moderne Bad; unbedingt probieren: das Weintasting mit Platter - alles ist von der Gastgeberin selbst hergestellt und aus organischem Anbau.

Top Winetasting und Essen dazu! Sehr nette Gastgeber, welche sogar den privaten Pool teilen!

Everything is excellent, the room and the bed are super comfortable and a little luxurious, the wine and platter are to die for and the surrounding vineyard is a little piece of heaven to wake up to.

I loved this place. Perhaps a tv in the room would have been welcome but without it we played cards and chatted.

Brian and Nicky made us feel so welcome. Gave us space to do our own thing but were there if we needed anything. Great little winery, excellent views and a great selection of wines. Especially recommend the mulled wine for something different but oh so flavoursome.

Wir haben den Christmas Day in diesem sehr schönen BnB verbracht. Es liegt im 1. Stock am Haupthaus über einer Garage. Man bekommt also kaum etwas vom Haupthaus mit und stört auch selbst niemanden. Dank vieler Fenster ist es sehr hell und auch freundllich eingerichtet. Bett bequem, Dusche tiptop, Wifi stabil. Die Kitchenette ist recht klein, außer mal einen Tee/Kaffee kochen oder ein Brot toasten ist nicht viel möglich. Nachts bei klarem Himmel unbedingt mal auf den Balkon gehen und Sterne schauen! Das Angebot der La Gra Winery konnten wir leider nicht genießen, da der 25. Dezember wohl so ziemlich der einzige freie Tag unserer freundlichen Gastgeber war, er sei ihnen wirklich gegönnt! Wir hatten schönes Wetter, sehr lohnend war ein Ausflug zum Castlepoint Lighthouse: brutaler Wind, aber toller Ausblick und an die zwanzig Seelöwen, faul zwischen den Felsen im Sand :-)

Eine zusätzliche Ablage im Bad, z.B. ein kleines Regal über der Toilette wäre praktisch.
