"Exceptional"

Good breakfast and staff were very accommodating and down to earth. Location was good and I enjoyed their company, as well as the company of animals. An excellent stay.

Nothing, the place is derelict.

The accommodation was burnt down months ago. Booking.com were informed of this at the time, apparently, but still take fully paid bookings...

Absolutely nothing

Where to even start! If I could rate this accommodation a 0 I would! Avoid this place at all costs! How this can even be advertised on booking.com is an actual joke! We booked as a family with a 4 yrs and 2yrs old children, which on arrival was expected to pay an addition cost for our second child which was bizarre to start with before we even reached the place. The host smelt of alcohol and her overall persona was just really edgy and unprofessional. We was expected to sleep upstairs and leave our two young children down stairs in a living room with two beds right next to the front door.! Bearing in mind they still wake up in the night. The overall feel for the place was very uncomfortable and just not expected at all. The pictures shown especially of the lake is far from the real truth!! How this can be advertised is fraud if you ask me!! We did not stay, we felt unsafe and when asked for our refund was bluntly refused and then had to cut our break away short with two upset children. Contacted booking .com on several occasions and still not got any where with refund. Avoid at all costs!! Was a nightmare from booking to arriving to then leaving the property.! DO NOT STAY for your own sanity!!!

"Kind friendly host, homey country cottage"

Kind and friendly host, beautiful home with a charming English country cottage vibe, lovely view of horses from the breakfast area where I was given pure food such as 100% honey made on the farm. Ulverston is a beautiful town definitely worth a visit and with stunning beaches and the lakes just a stones throw away, it's definitely worth the value for money on this cosy place. I would share photos of the room but my partner is naked in all of them 😂
