Breakfast was amazing and all the accessories were very good quality. Mick was always willing and helpful and they were both very pleasant people.

The stairs are rather steep, but nothing can be done about that! Unfortunately there were roadworks which meant we had to drive for miles to get to Barnstaple

A lovely B&B, very well run by Penny & Mick who go out of their way to ensure your comfortable and content. Great quiet location, with lovely garden to sit in and rest.

You felt like you was in a different period and very comfortable

Lovely Guest House, nice shared snug, light and airy conservatory for breakfast - well maintained garden to sit out in with wide reaching views. Well decorated, comfy beds with creature comforts like bath robes, fully stocked tea n coffee station, water, welcome chocolate, toiletries etc a big plus is that there is a guest fridge which contains fresh milk for use in our drinks, there is UHT in rooms. Mike n Penny welcoming hosts. Informative and there in the background if needed. Breakfast is superb, plenty of choice and of a high quality.

Breakfast very good, slept well.

No restock of tea bags, drinking water etc during our two night stay.

We stayed at The Spinney for a family occasion and appreciated the peace and tranquility and the warm welcome from Mick and Penny. Would definitely stay there again if we're ever in the area.

Room was a bit small and stairs quite steep but to be expected in an old property.
