"A brilliant place for a short stay for me and my Border Terrier"

More of a mini bedsit than a hotel room - very comfortable, equipped above and beyond reasonable expectations. Convenient and welcome delivery to the room of breakfast and excellent home cooked dinner in the evening. Attractive location and great to have the animals around!

"Generous and caring hospitality in a country retreat."

Such a warm welcome with a cheerful fire blazing in the burner and even a Xmas tree. Lots of useful written info. Ingenious way of getting meals served through a hatch - so handy! Unbelievably good food to order plus a comprehensive breakfast hamper. Loving atmosphere with a variety of well-cared-for rescue animals. Bernie’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

Bathroom a bit cramped and chilly even with the heated towel rail on. Not a major problem though.

"Lovely, everything we needed."

The accommodation was lovely, breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and owner was very accommodating. Fantastic to see donkeys out of the window! Very comfortable and warm.

We had a great long weekend here. What a food! Bernie is a very good cooker. We traveled with a 7 months old child, and food coming into our room it was a big plus. This is a very calm place where you can enjoy the country side feeling. Lovely hosts and animals.

This is a 5star b&b, the hosts Bernie & Alex are absolutely fantastic 10 out of 10. The room is stunning and so comfortable and the location is great. The breakfast was so delicious and served in the unique way - in the hamper, we loved it! We're so grateful for having the opportunity to meet the gorgeous animals, our daughter loved spending time with these friendly creatures. So all in all, if you're looking for peace & tranquility, wonderful stunning country views & walks, then this is the best place.

A unique B&B run by a fantastic host Bernie, The accommodation is clean and perfectly arranged, breakfasts are superb and the location is ideal. The rescue animals are a delight and you can see the business is run with a passion, we will be one of many return visitors xx
