The host family was very nice and open to talk. They suggested ways to walk to the center as well as what we could do. They even serve dinner which they cook freshly and help you learn how they usually eat in Darjeeling.

If you are looking for a warm, cozy home amidst the Eastern Himalayas, this is the place to be. It was extremely difficult in the beginning to choose a homestay just by looking at Booking.com but I am eternally glad that I made this choice. The family, especially the lady running this property have a century-old history to share. Yet, the property goes beyond the trappings of history to provide a homely experience at every hour. Local food is cooked in generous amounts and each meal would be tailor made for you based on your cravings. Darjeeling being a tourist spot has luxurious hotels in abundance however what creates a new experience in such tourist hotspots is the touch of home. It often happens that we bring our biases to a place as a tourist and avoid listening to the local voices. Homestay such as this helps one unlearn and truly understand the community that occupies it. If you are still looking for a hotel, this may not be the place. If you are looking for a home, these doors won’t turn back on you. :)

Located just 2 kms away from the hustle bustle of main Darjeeling town, this homestay is a complete bliss. We woke up to such a serene view, and the calmness in and around the property- the exact break that we were looking for from our daily lifestyle . Special mention about the host Ramila- a wonderful and charming lady, who was always there to assist us, and we had some nice conversations too. The food she cooked, will make you feel just as a home away from home. Can’t miss mentioning Lucy, their pet, who was as warm and welcoming. :) Everyone and everything in this place have a feel good factor, and I will recommend highly to experience this serenity. It was the best place I have ever lived in. The hosts were so good. They had a cute little puppy, Lucy. She too was friendly. Food at the place was very tasty. I wish we had stayed there for another couple of days.

So this is my first ever review for a Hotel I've stayed in. I don't usually review because well, most of the times it's nothing special. But this stay was special from the day we checked in. I booked two rooms here, and we were five of us. I checked in with 4 elders and we all had a blast. The rooms - very spacious, neat. With all required facilities including a fabulous balcony view. The staff - Very courteous, responsive and they cater to almost whatever you ask of them. They were always on time. The food - Very homely, delicious and filling. And again - always on time. The owners - Definitely the best part of the whole trip. Mrs. Rangila and her husband were so sweet, always helping us out with whatever we needed. The best part was, the sent us off so nicely, like we were their relatives who they actually liked! Honestly never experienced such warm treatment before. Everyone who stayed here loved the place to bits! Thank you Mrs. Ramila and your husband!

The fact that we couldn't stay any longer!

Everything, there is not a single that I didn't like. The professionalism of the staff, the friendliness, the location, the owner, the food, the provided amenities everything was top notch. Plus the location 4 of the Darjeeling's top tourist places were in walking distance.

I didn't like the fact I stayed for only 2 nights which is too little to enjoy such a place. A home away from home
