Nancy and Matt are fantastic hosts. They were always ready with information and recommendations, and they make the most delicious breakfasts. The house is so beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I never wanted to leave!

This is a lovely property with terrific hosts. The room we were in was nicely decorated with a four poster bed and a private bathroom. The hosts, Nancy and Matt, were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. This was our first trip to Jim Thorpe and Nancy provided great recommendations for restaurants (especially for our anniversary) and what to do in JT (we especially loved the Trolley Tour, the Jim Thorpe Memorial, and the Asa Packer Mansion). Nancy also gave us a great tip to sit on the righthand side of the Railroad Tour to get a better view of the scenery. Matt was the primary chef and offered several breakfast options that were freshly made and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at Hillcrest.

The house was close to downtown but up a very steep hill that was not easily walkable. The road was not heavily traveled but there was no sidewalk or shoulder to walk on, which made it a bit more challenging. We had no trouble parking downtown during the week but it will be more difficult on busy weekends.

"Great place off the main street and must drive to town walking would be a chore for older folks."
