It was very clean and very well maintained.

There were no televisions in any of the rooms. Tom and Nancy were lovely but they did not understand the “breakfast” part of a B and B. Breakfast was sparse. On day 1, we each got one butter, no jelly, no danish or yogurt and no variety of juices from which to choose. We are not big eaters but have been to many B and B’s and part of the fun is choosing what to have for breakfast. When we asked for a cheese omelette on day two instead of the plain omelette on the menu, Tom replied he guessed he could go to the store to buy cheese. He seemed confused. The food was not good. We barely ate what little was served. Tom and Nancy were sweet, polite and attentive and I do believe they tried their best. I just don’t think they had much experience with the breakfast part of a B and B.

Although it was only a short walk to the center of Jim Thorpe, the walk was a steep hill. So with that being said you might have to drive and pay to park.

We had a spectacular time staying at the Hillcrest Bed and Breakfast. Tom and Nancy went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The atmosphere was cozy and breakfast was so delicious! The location was walking distance from downtown which was a huge plus. When visiting again in the future, we would most definitely stay there and recommend them to anyone who wants an extra special experience while in town. We absolutely loved it and appreciate the hospitality provided.

Located quite close to downtown Jim Thorpe, this bed and breakfast was extremely welcoming. Tom and Nancy were excellent hosts and gave several recommendations for food, events, and sites to see in the area. The room we rented was a single room with a private bathroom, which we found to be comfortable and spacious. Every morning, Tom and Nancy would provide fresh fruit, breakfast of your choice, and great coffee, which was one of the highlights of our stay there. We're looking forward to staying here in the future, as there are several, local hiking and biking trails, and many other things to do and see.
