Mon-Chery

This is a budget friendly, very clean room. And as a couple of friends travelling we loved the size of the shower room, for dressing in private etc. There's a working lift so being on the third floor we appreciated this after a long day sightseeing, and also transporting our cases to and from our room. The location was in a residential area, so not many bars or good restaurants close by but it is only a short bus ride to Valletta and so very handy for sight seeing holiday. If you're busy tourists and don't have time or inclination to relax in the sun, this place is just the ticket. The cost of Bolt rides back was between 5.5 and 21 Euros depending the time of day and how much demand there was. There's a fabulous cafe (Emma's Kitchen) just a short walk which offers incredible dishes. Definitely check that out if you're in San Gwann. It's also close to Lidl which was handy for supplies, like bottled water and snacks.

For us what could be improved is: The facilities - the shower was amazing but it did flood the floor which meant a towel sacrifice from one of our allocated 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. The breakfast wasn't to our taste - it was cold scrambled eggs, cold beans, sliced tomatoes and rocket served with toast and optional maltese cakes that looked fried. We simply popped to Lidl and our preferences were catered for. We didn't love that we couldn't use the kitchen facilities because there were no plates, cutlery. This pretty much rendered the space the microwave took up in the room pointless. We didn't love the request for our passport details, telephone numbers and our email addresses along with a 7 euro tax (which we expected to pay). it felt uncomfortable as we didn't know the purpose of this being shared and with whom. A bit more official information would've resolved our concerns. The space on the 5th floor (where breakfast was served) was basic and only had two sun loungers. That meant there was a high chance of not having anywhere in the premises to relax except in our rooms. On that note, we didn't love that because it was a residential area, there heavy construction noise that was on-going every day. Whilst we appreciate this isn't the fault of our host, it did impact on the one afternoon we came back for a snooze. Reading previous reviews this doesn't appear to be an isolated situation, so again, if you're looking for a 'fly and flop' holiday, this place is unlikely to leave you feeling relaxed. For us we were so busy it wasn't a big deal. We also would've loved some curated information in our rooms on local places, There were a lot of leaflets on a cabinet outside our door, but a wee local guide would have really really been great.

Θα μπορούσε να έχει κάποιες παραπάνω επιλογές από τη στιγμή που δηλώνουν ότι έχουν πρωινό. Πήγαμε την πρώτη μέρα για πρωινό και της επόμενες φάγαμε πρωινό έξω, στα πολλά και διάφορα μαγαζιά της πόλης ..

τα σεντονια δεν αλαχθηκαν ποτε στις 5 μερες που ημασταν εκει, το πρωινο...ενα τοστ κυριολεκτικα.
