Waters Edge B&B

New Zealand is a fantastic country full of wonderful memories and experiences, and a trip to New Zealand would not be complete without staying at Heather and Dons B&B. It is without doubt the best B&B we have ever stayed in and possibly up there with the very best hotel accommodation anywhere. From the wonderful greeting on arrival to the moment you leave it is a wonderful experience. The house and the room are beautiful and breakfast has to be seen to be believed. You will not want for anything during your stay from supplying beach towels and spades when you visit Hot Water Beach, the cheese and biscuits and chilled wine in your fridge on arrival and chocolates on your bed in the evening. We needed to contact a GP during our stay and Heather even phoned around to see what she could arrange. Heather and Don are wonderful hosts and the only negative thing in our stay was having to leave, it was like staying with your favourite relatives, just book you will never regret it.

There are so many things to like about this property: the hosts are wonderful, the special treats and care they showed was exceptional, the location is great, the bed comfortable and space relaxed and easy to be in.

Having stayed here 2 years ago we worried that things might have changed. But thankfully nothing has.

Excellent position with fantastic views

The property is beautiful and well located looking over the beach. Heather and Don provide lots of little extras -wine, cheese,fruit-which was appreciated. The home cooked breakfast was beautiful and we enjoyed the chat at breakfast time. Heather and Don were great hosts who welcomed us into their home and made a great stay.

Brilliant beach side location with perfect welcoming hosts Heather and Don. Nice room with lots of yummy extras, garage parking for car plus delicious breakfast every day. Helped us orientate to Whitianga and region generally with hints and tips. Don even drove us round Whitianga to show us views we'd never have found!

Room a little bit small when you have large cases to open /use every day.

Wir wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Die Eigentümer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Schwarz-Weiß zieht sich konsequent durch das Haus. Unser Apartment im Erdgeschoss hatte mehrere Terrassen mit Sitzmöbeln und der Blick zum Meer war nur durch die Straße und eine Hecke versperrt. Das Badezimmer war richtig groß und modern. Eine tolle Dusche. Morgens und abends wurde das Zimmer gereinigt und wir konnten unsere Wäsche waschen. Als ob wir bei Freunden zu Besuch waren. Großartig. Richtig gut war das Frühstück mit einer leckeren Eierspeise oder heute Morgen mit Avocado-Brot. Lecker. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zugewandt begrüßt und auch verabschiedet. DANKESCHÖN für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Ein Kreisverkehr ist direkt vor dem Haus. Aber ab 22:00 Uhr bis 8:00 Uhr war es äußerst ruhig.
