Alternatively, from Canterbury head along the A2050 Rheims Way and straight on through traffic lights. Take the next right-hand turn onto Wingate Hill, signposted for Upper Harbledown. Continue through the village and keep going until you see the Oakside Lodge sign on your right. A deposit may be required at the property.

Erg vriendelijke eigenaar, schone kamer, ruime (gratis) parkeergelegenheid. Prima verblijf voor een nacht op doorreis.

De badkamer was netjes, maar doordat er een waterbesparende douchekop geïnstalleerd was, duurde het lang voordat je helemaal nat was. En daarna ook weer lang voordat alle sop en shampoo weg was. Het was ook geen gestage stroom water, maar een soort rare golf-beweging. Kortom: je staat er lang onder, dus het waterbesparende effect is weg als je klaar bent. Da's jammer.

Excellent location, 5 minutes drive to Canterbury. The host Stuart gave us all the instructions needed to get to the Lodge and check in. The room was an excellent size and the mattress was medium firm, an excellent night of sleep. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had good pressure and heated quickly. Clean throughout the property, they also have an honesty bar, we didn't use it but for someone it might be a good addition! We didn't have breakfast but we noticed some nice full English plates being served to other guests when we were leaving and it looked delicious. Worth a stay.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with copious quantities of really decent coffee. Lovely surroundings. Stuart, who ran the place, was really helpful and kind.

The hot water came in fits and starts. Temperature did not change but the pressure of the water would alternate. Not too bothersome.
