The place is absolutely amazing — surrounded by beautiful greenery, trees and open fields with so much peace and quiet. The treehouse looks incredible and I’d love to stay there next time! We stayed in the main house which was lovely as well. Our room and bathroom were spacious, spotless and had everything we needed. The guest terrace was a wonderful bonus — we really enjoyed making the most of the lovely weather there while playing board games. Stuart was an incredibly welcoming, friendly and professional host who made us feel right at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and every detail of our stay was thoughtfully taken care of. Thank you Stuart for everything — you’re doing a fantastic job. We truly didn’t want to leave! Justyna and Kamil

"Very handy for overnight en route to Dover"

8.0

Handy location for one night en route to the car ferry. Very quiet - in several acres of grounds.

We like a warm bathroom so the towels are dry again in the morning. There was a towel rail but it wasn't possible to heat it.

"A great place to either start or finish a trip over to the European mainland."

10.0

Close proximity to Canterbury without being in the City. It was a short drive to a P&R. Very convenient for launching across the channel to mainland Europe or for us, coming back from a road trip. With acres of woodland, a treehouse room, pigs in a pen - it was all very relaxing. The room had everything you needed. Stuart was a great host - friendly and helpful, and cooked a great breakfast.

"An oasis of calm"

10.0

There is little to fault with Oakside Lodge. The environment offers lovely woodlands and a chance to relax on the veranda watching nature whilst sipping a cold beer or a glass of wine after a day exploring. The location is perfect, close to local attractions and also the M2. The accommodation is comfortable and I appreciated the coffee and tea facilities and biscuits. A full EnglishBreakfast is cooked to order along with a great choice of cereals, yoghurts and fruits. Stuart the manager is friendly and accommodating going out of his way to ensure the perfect stay. This was a return visit to Oakside Lodge. I first stayed 3years ago and it was just as I remembered.
