ASAMé @ Oppi-Rivier

It was located on the river Vaal, with a nice garden right down to the rivers edge. The room was small, but had all that was needed for two weary travellers.

I did not realise that it was that small. Everything worked in the bathroom, but it was not so easy for 4 X person.

The house keeper on sight was very friendly. It is a comfortable stay over. The river creates tranquility and peace. Safe and piecefull

The facility was clean and the aircon was a great help during a heatwave.

The barbecues were old and rusted and difficult to use. Height adjustable griddles were rusted and inoperable. During power cuts, the generator was not switched on and the heat was unbearable. Maintenance is needed.

The un announced power outages. Back up power unit not able to back up on time leaving food half cooked and all total darkness. Unfortunately caused by the Municipal Power suppliers. The sun charged lamps did help.

Inexpensive stopover place.

Near the river: too many mosquitoes and flies.
