Only the location

The room was very small. Had nowhere to sit other than the bed. Had to move the bed to close the blind.. The shower had grime on every side of the base, and the shower curtain was filthy so I was unable to use it. It also smelt disgusting. There was nowhere to put any bathroom assessories and no mirror other than the one near the entrance to the room itself. Dust in most corners of the room together with dirty marks on some walls and furniture. There was also a lead adjoining a plug that was filthy. Because of my very important visit to the area, by the time I arrived, it was too late to find alternative accommodation, so I had to suffer the consequences and a sleepless night. I have more photos to confirm my claims.

Such a lovely place and a great find. Friendly and helpful hosts and nothing too much trouble. After a long drive we started our stay in the pub. We were met with a warm reception and welcome. We ended up chatting to a few of the pub regulars and you could see there was a real community spirit here all adding to the cosy feel. In fact, when it came to us grabbing our bags from the car to put in our rooms, the youngest of those we were speaking with even offered to help with our bags which I thought was really lovely. Do please extend my thanks again for this; little gestures like that always stay with you. Our rooms were comfortable and very clean. We ate in the pub, nice food. Discussing breakfast, mum ideally likes cereal and this wasn't part of the menu, however, our lovely hosts Mark and Olivia went out of their way to accommodate this and mum was thrilled. At breakfast, Mark came to check all was well. My mum has mobility issues and asked if she could suggest a little adaptation that would make a huge difference, this being a support rail in the bathroom. He really engaged with this and of course, unless you're struggling with such a situation, you simply don't know it's needed. He said that was easily resolved and would look at it the same day. Thanks for an enjoyable stay which of course was also enhanced by Harley. A little gem of a place with fabulous hosts and friendly locals. I hope you had the most amazing 50th party! 🎂

A very warm welcome - staff were attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable

Mark & Olivia very friendly, room was just what we needed for an overnight stay.

Couldn't get food in the pub due to the timings of our travel, but I appreciate the kitchen only works for evening and pre-organised breakfast

Staff and the locals were super friendly

Convenient location to M5 and good value for what it was. Food was off as chef had just had a baby, but landlord made an effort to provide us a meal, which was fine and we appreciated the effort. Room was absolutely fine, warm and comfortable.

Nothing not to like.

Superb pub friendly locals, Mark the boss very welcoming made us a lovely meal excellent service throughout. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks Mark for your hospitality love Wayne and Linda xx

Location is very quiet and cost of rooms cheap.

Bed bugs and every corner of the room had many spiders/cobwebs etc on ceiling.
