"Welcoming family run guest house with perfect sea view"

This small guest house on the prom is perfect for a visit to Aberystwyth. I loved watching the sea from the chair and table in the window and could even see the starling murmuration around the pier. It is centrally located for all the amenities of the town. Room 1 on the first floor is a reasonable size with a firm but comfortable bed. The shower room is small but has all you need for a comfortable stay.

It's not a totally silent room. While I enjoy listening to the sound of the waves and the wind, this may not be for everyone, particularly when there is a high tide.

"Fabulous seafront guest house"

We really enjoyed our stay at The Helmsman. The room was very comfortable with excellent views out to sea and around the bay. A lovely Guest House all round. The breakfast was excellent too. It's in a fabulous location, lovely walks along the seafront and into the town. Also very well located for pubs and restaurants. Very friendly hosts, happy to share their knowledge of the area.

Host Size of room and sea views

Low amount of tea & coffee (no refill option downstairs) Toilet is very close to the sink and more towels in the room would be good. Parking is also very limited
