We stayed for two nights in the quiet, but picturesque Cooks Beach. Really comfortable room with good facilities (hot plate and microwave for cooking), a short walk to the river and the beach. Ideal location for visiting Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach but away from the crowds. John recommended an excellent restaurant in town (Kaizen) which we were grateful for after a long drive up.

John the owner was very helpful with advice and sorting out the internet which wasn't working when we arrived. The apartment is small but well equipped and all we needed for two nights. The shower was very hot and had good pressure. The unit is in a residential area of Cook's beach and backs onto a waterway. Kayaks are available to use which was nice although we were never there at high tide!

Unfortunately a house is being built on the plot next door so the patio and unit are now both overlooked by builders from fairly early in the morning which wasn't ideal but obviously not the owners fault. Perhaps a higher fence can be installed to give more privacy.
