Casa Rural El Paraíso de Saona

Thank you Jessica and Binsen for being so kind! We had a wonderful time. The room is big and comfortable. They offer also lunch and dinner, which was delicious. Very big portions. At the time we were there, there was only 1 other restaurant open on the island, so this was a great option. They also have a drinking water refill tank.

You need to understand that this is a small village with limited facillities. So there are times when there is no electricity and running water.

La natura

Acqua salata , mancanza totale della pressione dell'acqua. La porta aveva una serratura che funzionava molto male e nessuno ha sistemato. La cassaforte era furi uso. La luce elettrica di giorno non c'era. La cena deludente a parte il riso e le verdure che era compra una broc a d'acqua , la birra piccola presidente a pagamento 300 pesos.

El lugar es hermoso, tranquilo, sencillo! Te dormis y despertas escuchando las olas del mar, salís a la entrada y está la playa imponente toda para disfrutar!!!! Si buscas tranquilidad y un paisaje increíble tenés que vivir esta experiencia. Me quedé dos noches y fue maravilloso porque estuve sin prisa conociendo cada rinconcito. Volvería mil veces más! Y no es dato menor que Sara siempre está atenta a cualquier consulta! 💛

Le personnel était tellement gentil, l’île est magnifique ! Nous ne regrettons absolument pas d’avoir dormi sur l’île plutôt que de faire seulement une excursion. Nous avons adorés.

Está en un lugar paradisíaco, al dormir se escucha el mar, es hermoso. Los chicos que te ayudan y te guía en la isla son muy amables

Spending a night on Saona Island is definitely worth it. We stayed in a beachfront room with a beautiful view, which was lovely. Breakfast was inexpensive at $5 per person and matched the quality expected for that price. We explored the local restaurant Flamingos for dinner, which was excellent, and next time we might even skip the included breakfast in favor of it. The island itself is stunning, and renting a bike or scooter to visit the two beautiful, less crowded beaches is highly recommended. Transportation to and from the island always works out, so you can be sure you’ll get there and back.

The beachfront room wasn’t entirely private, as other guests were also using the porch, which diminishes the exclusive experience. The accommodation has potential but lacks basic amenities like snacks or refreshments. We had to remind the staff about our included breakfast as it was initially forgotten. The shower has very low water pressure, and the showerhead is heavily clogged with limescale—out of 30 jets, only 3 actually work, making it difficult to properly shower. Transportation arrangements can also be chaotic and communication is poor, which can be stressful for European visitors. These issues are fixable but should be addressed to improve the overall experience.
