Aventura Rincon Ecolodge

The location was easy to find. The place looks like heaven on earth and the food, OMG, was incredibly delicious. My wife and I spent hours in the pool, talking about everything and enjoying the ecolodge. The sfaff members were super nice with us. We are already planning our next escape to this place and disconnected ourself from the city.

Dogs. Barking dogs. In my space dogs. Howling in the night dogs. I don't want to share my vacation with dogs. No hot water. Poor lighting and charging options. Very long walk with luggage. No dinner food in area. Room wasn't what I expected from the photos, but it was nicely rustic.

We're a bit torn about this place. On the one hand, it offers a great back-to-basics experience, which is why we booked it. The location is beautiful and well-maintained. On the other hand, there are some downsides: no hot water, cold showers with low water pressure, and smelly cabins. These issues wouldn't be such a big deal if the rental cost were lower. However, the place comes with a rather high price tag, which doesn't seem fair given these problems.

The costs for meals are quite high. We paid $12 per person for a Dominican breakfast and $30 for dinner, plus a 10% service charge. These prices are comparable to those in a typical Western city, which doesn't align with the local economy. It seems that someone is making a significant profit, and we worry that the lovely local staff may not be benefiting proportionately.

A truly magical place! The service was beyond our expectations, the staff very warm and joyful, always available and attentive to our needs. We were served delicious homemade food, which you can tell is made with lots of love, and most of which comes fresh from their permaculture site (conuco). The place itself is breathtaking, with lush vegetation, full of magic and truly soothing. The cabins are clean, comfortable and spacious, and it's so peaceful at night, I sleep like a baby! Bonus: a mango tree right in front of our cabin - what else can you ask for? There are a few pools and gazebos to enjoy a bit of privacy. And it's a 10-minute ride from Playa Rincón and Caño Frío, which I really enjoyed. Overall, it's the perfect place to relax, reconnect with yourself and nature, recharge your batteries. Let yourself be taken care of, you won't regret it! It's my third time there and will definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Nice breakfast with lots of fruit, very attentive staff. We had dinner one time and that was also very nicely prepared. Location is wonderful, although a bit hard to get to, the dirt road is very rough to drive. Beautiful garden setting with great flowers and plants, fun pools to cool off, all is well maintained.

The room was dark and had a bunch of critters and mosquito problems. Also, there were hardly any places to hang or stow things away. A little uncomfortable to have luggage on the floor.

The bathroom could be upgraded, the swimming pool was clearly not maintained and it didn’t inspire to be used.

The garden was amazing, with 4 small pools and a huge area to relax. There is also a large lounge area under roof in case of rain. The food was the best in our whole trip and the ingredients were locally grown from their own garden. Me and my husband also met the owner and he was kind enough to drive us to the beach, since we didn’t rent a car.

The food was a bit expensive, but i guess 2 people could split the meal, since the portions were so large.
