Great view from the breakfast terrace! Super nice hosts , very welcoming and caring. Clean spacious room. Not far from Genova which can be reached easily by public transport

prezzo pagato per il soggiorno alto, letto scomodo, struttura vecchia, non così pulita, in piu ci è stato chiesto di pagare 10€ EXTRA DI TASSA DI SOGGIORNO E PARCHEGGIO GIÀ PAGATI SU BOOKING, ovviamente senza ricevuta o scontrino, considerando che si trova in mezzo la nulla quindi non c’è altra scelta per parcheggiare. Assolutamente non vale il prezzo pagato. Il mare è comunque a 4km circa ed è estremamente difficile parcheggiare in quanto quasi tutti i parcheggi sono riservati ai residenti. Se riuscite a trovare un altro posto non venite qua

The sea view, the beautiful terrace, the big spacious room, very kind and friendly host. I booked last minute, on the way to Liguria. It’s a drive up the hill (best if you have a car) and a little bit difficult to find the last street although it’s well indicated with boards. We had our dogs with us and they could stay for free, we could park the car in the garage. Very calm and quiet, relaxing place. It’s a good location to discover Liguria and the beaches.

Absolutely adorable BnB, run by a very sweet couple who spoke to me in full Italian, which I understood mainly from context clues ('frizzante' must mean fizzy water, breakfast is from 8 as she's holding up 8 fingers...). The balcony for breakfast has one of the best views I have seen in my life. It's extremely high up, 150m climb up a zig-zag road followed by about 100 steps, so not for the elderly and unfit. But so worth it. Felt very secure and comfortable. My room actually had bunk beds in too, so slept 4, and was enormous. Not glamourous, but not dirty at all. The breakfast was extensive, an egg, almond croissant, coffee, apricot, walnuts, yoghurt, biscuit-crackers things, etc. I would love to go back one day and experience the couple's hospitality again.

Nothing wrong with the BnB itself. Just a warning about Pieve - Pieve Ligure is gorgeous, basically vertical, but has no shops/restaurants - you have to walk ~30 minutes to Sori which is a cute fishing village. There there are about 5-10 restaurants, including an excellent one on the beach: La Battigia, open in the evenings. The quickest way back to Il Gabbiano is up steps for 20 minutes, which is quite intense.

We stayed in this house for a week with our dog at the end of July 2024. We loved everything about it. The host, Remo, and his wife are very hospitable and warm people. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room had a wonderful view of the sea. Breakfasts were excellent - with yogurt, fruit, croissants with jam, and coffee with juice. The view from the breakfast balcony was a separate visual pleasure every morning. The location itself is very quiet and peaceful, perfect for those seeking solitude with nature.

There wasn't anything that we strongly disliked, but there are a couple of things that could be improved. The Wi-Fi didn't always work well (although, in a way, that might be a good thing for a vacation). Additionally, we missed having a refrigerator in the room (though you can use the large fridge on the breakfast balcony). Lastly, if you don't have a car, getting from the sea back up to the house can be challenging.
