Aquila Haven

The location of this property was interesting being close to an inland marina surrounded by what appeared to be expensive holiday homes. The area was very quiet with few people about although "downtown" Whitianga was more busy. The apartment has no means of cooking apart from a microwave and toaster which wasn't a problem for us as we ate in Whitianga, which has a good selection of places to eat. There is a private garden area to sit in which we didn't use, although a line out there for drying washing would have been useful.

Continental breakfast was healthy and fresh. Cleanliness was exceptional. Bed was very comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful property to the highest specifications. Faith and Ralf we’re perfect hosts and made us home made brownies for when we returned home from our day out. Lovely breakfast left in the room all ready, Garden and patio usage with evening lights was lovely.

The accommodation was finished to a high standard, very clean and comfortable. Faith and Ralph were great hosts and respected our privacy, but were on call if needed. Lots of local information available too. Fruit, yoghurts, bread, cereals , milk and fruit juice were available for breakfast with a supply of tea and coffee. Also very quiet, so a good place to rest up!

Faith and Ralph are excellent hosts. They make you feel so welcome. They couldn't be more helpful. Check-in and guest information book very informative. The unit itself is spotlessly clean. Lovely garden which guests can use too. Good breakfast items in the fridge. Very close to the centre of Whitianga and the supermarkets. We loved this place and will definitely stay again.

It was great all round and really happy we chose this above other recommendations. Its cleanliness does stand out and that’s very important for us to have a pleasant stay.
