The Pickled Onion Hotel & Restaurant Uxmal

Très bien placé pour visiter les sites archéologiques. Endroit paisible et calme. Piscine très agréable après les visites. Bon petit déjeuner et restaurant attenant très pratique. Personnel accueillant.

We had a really good time at the pickled onion. The swimming pool was nice. Breakfast and dinner are of really good quality

Our shower was leaking and probably needs repairing.

Bungalows relatively quiet, great location to Uxmal and other archaeological sites. Delicious food at the restaurant (but cocktails were not good).

Bugs everywhere in the room, including falling from roof onto the bed. Mosquito net was not big enough to cover the whole bed, so one person slept inside and one outside. No table to put things on or chairs in the room, so had to sit in uncomfy bed during rain shower. Uncomfortable bed with uncomfortable pillows. Terrible lighting in room (hard to read).

Stanza molto carina, con zanzariera intorno al letto. Colazione molto buona e il ristorante ha un menù vario (attenzione, durante il nostro soggiorno chiudeva alle 20). C'era la possibilità di ordinare una lunch box per il giorno dopo, molto utile. Tutta la struttura è molto carina, vale la pena spenderci qualche giorno, peccato noi avessimo una notte sola.

La doccia non era il massimo, pressione molto bassa dell'acqua.

Proche du site de Uxmal, petit déjeuné et restaurant. Gentillesse du personnel. Piscine agréable.

Logement au bord de la route très passante donc très bruyante. Les bungalow ne sont pas du tout insonorisés donc impression de dormir dans la jungle. Salle de bain spartiate, lits pas confortables et beaucoup de moustiques.

The food here was excellent! We enjoyed the breakfast both mornings as well as a superb dinner one evening. We really enjoyed walking around the property as we are birdwatchers and there were many species of birds. Our cabin was very nice and private. The pool looked very pleasant but we didn’t swim as the weather was a bit cool during our stay. This was a good spot to stay for our visit to the ruins at Uxmal. I would absolutely stay here again!

It got quite noisy in town the first night as there was a celebration that got the roosters and dogs agitated for the whole night. There were earplugs provided but we were tired enough that we slept through the ruckus anyhow.

Great location, wonderful food in their restaurant, friendly staff, rustic but well outfitted rooms in huts.

We had the misfortune arriving in a cold snap and it was freezing in the thatched roof hut. 9 degrees Celsius inside and out and no heat! The staff had forgotten to tell us there were blankets and where to find them, so the first night was sleepless. The 2nd night better because of the blankets but still no heat. So we skipped the third night as we did not want to get sick. Unfortunate, as it woudl be a perfect place to stay if it had been hot.
