"Ideal location for visiting the area"

9.0

Ideal location for visiting the area. We were there to visit friends and relatives in the area. The breakfast was very nice, but could do with a bit more variety on the cereal side. A very comfortable bed, unusually we slept very well the first night, being in a strange bed.

"It was fine."

Host was very friendly, bedroom very comfortable all clean and tidy, breakfast okay. off road parking needed a bit of negotiating but once there was fine.

Am a bit fussy about my coffee, I don't like instant.

"Pleasant stay"

Clean and cosy property, had everything needed for my stay. The owner was a very nice lady who was extremely accommodating, polite and caring. She offered to make me a sandwich in the morning, very sweet of her.

"A good overnight stay in a charming village"

8.0

This is a genuine B&B that can accommodate one couple in an ensuite bedroom. There is a second bedroom set up as a lounge with 2 easy chairs and a TV. Breakfast is downstairs in the dining room. No cooked breakfast but a good selection of cereals, yoghurts, bread and croissants. There is a good pub, the Brewers Arms, 400 yards away that serves a varied range of dishes for an evening meal.

The rooms are a bit tired but perfectly adequate. We would have appreciated a lock on the bedroom door, though purely for psychological purposes!

"Parking issues"

7.0

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable . The Continental breakfast selection was good.

1. Parking. The location advertised on site parking - which was why I booked it. However unless you have the tiniest car - this isn't correct. To park you need to go up a very steep incline whilst immediately turning sharp right between the house and a stone wall. I damaged my car attempting this. The host then told me to park outside half on the pavement. If I had known the parking was so unsuitable I would not have booked. Reading older reviews I can see I'm not the first to struggle with parking and I recommend the host removes 'on site parking ' from their listing. 2. The towels were hard and scratchy. I recommend the host replaces with softer ones
