Friendly welcome, felt at home instantly. Really quiet, and slept soundly. Loved the easy 'do it yourself' breakfast the next day too.

Elaine was wonderful. She was so accommodating and went above and beyond to help us with our plans.

Clean tidy, very friendly. Helped us out with transport. Shower water always hot and a good shower.

Not much nearby for an evening meal

The host was pleasant and accommodating. The price is low however, this is reflected in the quality of the accommodation. South Petherton is a lovely village.

I'm afraid the property didn't fully meet what we'd expected to arrive at. We thought we'd be staying in a self contained apartment/area of the property however, you're actually staying in a spare room in the main house. Whilst you are ensuite and have all the items detailed on the room inventory, it's all very dated.

Ideal location for our visit. Our hostess was really fantastic helping us find our way around.🚕 Good breakfast to start the day. We would definitely like to visit again.

I just needed an area with a mirror and plug socket to dry my hair.

This was our second stay at Madresfield in the lovely village of South Petherton. Our room was very comfortable with a TV , tea making facilities and large ensuite shower room. There was also a TV room across the hallway and a pleasant seat where we could sit outside and enjoy the garden. Downstairs the breakfast room has a small fridge, kettle and microwave. Elaine was friendly and helpful and provided us with a very good Continental breakfast - cereals, porridge, yogurt, toast and fruit. We would recommend Madresfield for a short break, lovely countryside and there are several very interesting National Trust properties nearby.
