"Claremont Hse, an aged beauty"

This is a beautiful old house in a fabulous location. Lovely photos on the walls. The lounge is stunning. Comfy bed and bedding.

There was no tv in the room, which I wasn't aware of when booking. The tv in the lounge didn't work. The owner is incredibly quiet. I almost felt like in was in a 1950s guest house, where talking was disapproved off. Breakfast was well cooked but basic.

There were tea, coffee and biscuits available in the common room. The room was very clean.

The house is very dated and badly needs an upgrade. The smell as you enter the house is of old carpet. The bathroom is spacious, but there is only a trickle of water in the shower, and separate taps for hot and cold water in the sink. The bed was comfortable but the mattresses need to be changed. The doors and locks are old and it took me 10 minutes to get into my room, the key just wouldn’t turn. In overall this was the cheapest option in the area but still quite a sum of money for what it is.
