The Hawkenbury

Great place to stay for dog owners. There are 3 rooms/cottages in the back of the garden (no idea if these are the only rooms) which are fenced off, so the dog can be without a leech and no risk of running off. The pubfood and breakfast were both of good quality and the staff and owners were very nice.

Since the last few days were very hot, it was very warm in the room, despite the owners did their best and placed a big fan in the room.

Very dog friendly. Beds were comfortable. Relatively quiet back from the main road

The whole pub was shut on a Monday which made us feel awkward booking in (whilst the owners were having dinner) and to contact anyone had we needed to. Having to decide on our breakfast choices immediately upon arrival after a long journey. The whole place was tired and needed a good tidy up

Easy to find and dog friendly

The mattress was too soft for me. The shower screen rubber is perishing, so the bathroom floor when wet was very slippery.

Quiet location

Clean, functional, comfortable bed. Very quiet at night for sleeping. Friendly staff and a choice of very good breakfasts. Nice HD tv and good WI-FI.

Nothing

Everything was first class, and rooms were spacious, comfortable, quiet, and spotless. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Food is excellent and the portions are very generous. Absolutely a bargain. Would not hesitate to return and to recommend.

Lovely garden, food was delicious and staff very helpful and friendly. Very large comfy room

Shower wasn’t brilliant and rooms a little tired but that said, it didn’t spoil our stay

The Hawkenbury owners and staff are warm, friendly and can't do enough for you. Breakfast is tasty and a great start to the day and our room was clean and comfortable and the beds and bedding were very comfortable and clean.
