Etno kuća Teodora

An exceptional place, cozy and comfortable, ethnic-style house, perfectly clean, a large garden ideal for working, reading, training, relaxing with coffee. Wonderful sleep and lots of energy mornings, a great escape from the city. What is the most important is the warm welcome and care of the hosts who do everything to let the guests feel at home. Thank you so much, dear Mira and Biljana, happy to have met you and spent so warm a time with you. Definitely will return!

Cannot think of anything negative.

The owners are very helpful and flexible. They speak multiple languages with varying degree of fluency, including at least English, Serbian and Russian. The house is gorgeous. It looks more like a castle or a fortress on the inside. Almost everything inside is handmade, looks great, has the owners' heart & soul in it. Much of the furniture dates 50-100 years back. House is built in a very retro style, too. House has extremely thick walls and window shutters, which helps you to isolate yourself from the outside heat & noise.

The kitchen was out of order. There was a somewhat noisy cafe outdoors. I was too tired to be bothered, but it was blasting music until 4am in the morning. Not too loud, but it was clearly audible indoors. The house is extremely authentic and has great decor, but lacks practicality.

Everything

The hostesses and the ambience. Mira and Bibi were just incredible. They went above and beyond in terms of their hospitality. They were so responsive to every request. And their breakfasts were incredible. And the kuća has such a great old world feel and has been beautifully restored.

There was a kafana across the street which was pretty loud till late.

An old house with fantastic ethnic interior and hospitable hostess. Near the village is a Kovačice Museum of Naive art.
