"We would happily recommend this accommodation and would certainly stay there again."

9.0

Lovely period property in a remote and quiet location. The host was a kind and interesting gentleman and his staff were friendly and helpful. We occupied the two double bedrooms which were traditionally and beautifully furnished with appropriate period pieces and very comfortable beds. The excellent breakfast was served in a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but prospective guests should note that the location is fairly remote, so worth spending a bit of time researching how to get to it before hand. Also there didn’t appear to be anywhere within walking distance that one could get an evening meal if that is what is required. There is a good local pub (The Cock) within a walkable distance with well kept real ale and a pleasant landlord/ landlady but it didn’t appear to be serving meals.

"Step back in time and still stay in luxury"

10.0

This is a beautiful house located in a beautiful village. The bed was so comfy it was hard to get up in the morning. I was lucky enough to have a chat with Phillip and he told me about the house and how he personally restored the beautiful garden. The table setting for breakfast felt like being in a manor house and the breakfast was cooked fresh to order. The whole experience was exceptional. Thank you for a lovely stay.

There's nothing not to love!

Nice character property in nice location with very nice owner and staff

Had to walk across landing to private bathroom and was worried about disturbing people with creaky floorboards and noisy door catches

"It wasnt good at all for me unfortunately and was hoping for a full refund."

I liked the fact that the host followed up around 21:30 to ask when i would check in

I couldnt check in when i arrived there around 4:30pm , place was pitch black no sign of anyone home even mail was still at the door . Phone went answered. And eventually had to book another hotel where I paid £99 😪.
