La valoración de este alojamiento es excepcional, y basta con poner un pie en el lugar para comprender de inmediato el porqué. La casa, decorada con un gusto exquisito y llena de detalles cuidadosamente seleccionados, ofrece una atmósfera cálida y acogedora que invita al descanso desde el primer momento. El exterior es igual de impresionante: una piscina impecable rodeada de un jardín amplio y bien cuidado, lleno de rincones encantadores, y una huerta abundante y muy cuidada. La tranquilidad que se respira es absoluta, perfecta para desconectar. Pero si hay algo que realmente marca la diferencia, es la atención de los anfitriones: cercanos, amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar, te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer instante. Y el desayuno que incluyen es variado, casero y exquisito. Sin duda, una experiencia de lujo en todos los sentidos, que recomendamos al 100%.

Before choosing hotels for our travels, I always read a large number of reviews. Villa D'Aurora Country Suites immediately stood out as a truly unique place in Northern Portugal, consistently receiving only excellent ratings. One might wonder: how is it possible to receive only excellent reviews? After experiencing this extraordinary place firsthand, I quickly understood—the magic lies in the care and warmth of the two incredible people who run it. From the moment we drove through the gate and were welcomed by these warm and hospitable hosts, I knew we were about to experience something truly unique during this holiday. Villa D'Aurora is located in a residential area, yet it is surrounded by a beautiful and secluded garden, giving you the feeling of being completely isolated from the outside world—as if in a private oasis. The atmosphere is instantly energizing from the moment you step through the gate. We stayed in the "Candida" room, a beautifully decorated space where every single detail has been thoughtfully considered (see my attached photos). The owners have an exceptional eye for details. The room was spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was tastefully designed with a generous shower area. The air conditioning worked perfectly and ensured a pleasant stay throughout. Outside in the lush garden, there is a lovely and well-maintained swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers—again, every detail is taken care of! With only four rooms at Villa D'Aurora, there’s no need to compete for a spot by the pool. Breakfast was served in the charming garden, featuring a wide selection beautifully presented at our table. This was one of the most romantic breakfasts we have ever had. We also enjoyed dinner here— simple; yet elegantly presented and fully satisfying our expectations. It is with a heavy heart that we now must leave this hidden gem in Northern Portugal. This has truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Die Unterkunft ist bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht und liebevoll gestaltet. Jeder Zentimeter wirkt stimmig und ästhetisch. Das Bett und die Kissen sind unglaublich bequem, die Liegen am Pool laden zum Entspannen ein, und der Pool selbst bietet eine herrliche Erfrischung. Das Frühstück ist ein echtes Highlight: Jeden Morgen gibt es frisches Obst aus dem Garten, hausgemachte Säfte sowie täglich wechselnde Marmeladen – es sei denn, den Gastgebern fällt auf, dass einem eine Sorte besonders gut schmeckt, dann wird diese gerne erneut serviert. Am Abend unserer Ankunft haben wir in der Unterkunft gegessen – auch das war hervorragend. Mitunter das beste Essen unserer gesamten Reise. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und wurden von Ângelo und João rundum herzlich umsorgt. Ein Aufenthalt, der keine Wünsche offenlässt.

The hosts are genuinely helpful and interesting people, with whom you can have engaging conversations. Although they live on the property, their presence is barely noticeable—and when you do interact with them, it’s always a pleasure. Overall, the place truly feels like home. The decor is absolutely stunning. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed. An excellent job all around.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Stunning spot, exquisitely renovated and simply outstanding service. The couple who run it are warm, attentive without being intrusive and capful don’t do enough to help us. I’ve travelled extensively for the last 30 years and have rarely encountered such perfection.
