"Nie wieder!"

Wir hatten keine großen Erwartungen für diesen Preis und sogar diese wurde enttäuscht. Die Bilder der Unterkunft auf den Webseiten sind mehr als geschönt. Wir mussten die Blickwinkel suchen, aus denen die schmeichelnden Bilder aufgenommen wurden. Es herrscht morbide Tristesse vor. Die Zugangstreppe ist sehr steil und mit dem Gepäck mehr als mühsam. Auch das wäre kein Problem, wenn der Geruch nicht wäre. Unser Zimmer war von einem penetranten Fischgeruch umgeben und die AC wollte zuerst nicht funktionieren. Das ärgerlichste aber war definitiv das Personal!

Der Mitarbeiter am Empfang war so unfreundlich, dass man schreien könnte. Gelangweilt, uninteressiert, unaufmerksam, hat Frauen die Koffer die steile Treppe alleine hochtragen lassen und vieles mehr… am nächsten Morgen hat das leitende Personal dies mitbekommen und war not amused…

"Tolle Lage, schöne Terrassen"

Einfache, aber mit schönen, alten Holzmöbeln ausgestattete Zimmer, meines hatte sogar Meerblick. Nahe am Strand und allen sehenswerten Orten in Stone Town gelegen. Mehrere Terrassen zum Relaxen. Sehr gutes Frühstück! Freundliches und hilfsbereites Team, bei Bedarf können Taxis und Touren vermittelt werden. Ich habe mich als allein reisende Frau gut betreut gefühlt.

Très bien situé, tranquille, café instantané correcte, pas trop traité comme un muzungu... probablement l'hôtel qui a les photos les plus réalistes de tout Booking, ça c'est génial! Resto éthiopien pas loin, top!

Nous avons été forcé.e.s de rester sur l'île en raison de la nouvelle présidente qui a forcé l'arrêt des transports et d'internet (en plus d'ordonner qu'on fusille de sa propre population). L'hôtel nous a agréablement accommodé, j'aurais offert un prix adapté à la situation extraordinaire. Mais, ça c'est moi, pas une complainte!

"Authentic place to stay"

We have stayed one night at Balcony House and liked it. It is in the city center of Stonetown and close to main sightseeings, restaurants and the beach.

The windows of our rooms were street side. The noisy traffic with cars and motorbikes coming from the fairy boats run until midnight, and started early again. Even if you close the windows the noise is loud.
