Great breakfast, good quantity and quality

All good and great location after finishing the Pennines.

Good breakfast and spacious rooms.

The cask ale offer was poor. Two cask products from Suffolk! At least one local ale would have been good ; the nearby Border Hotel offered two .

We enjoyed out stay. Comfortable and clean and a reasonable breakfast.

It was fine.

A basic but comfortable room, excellent staff and a decent breakfast. Being able to select exactly what you wanted each morning was a nice touch.

Whilst it was great to be in a pub with a bar, the food menu could be a little more creative as it offered standard style pub fare. Also the hotel seemed a little expensive when compared with all other places we stayed in.

Spacious and charming room and bathroom, warm welcome, lovely pub, attentive staff, large and comfortable bed huge mugs in room - always nice.

Limited menu options for both breakfast and dinner

Lovely people, food and place.

However room was right above the bar and very noisy until 1am

The room was comfortable & spotless & provided everything that we needed. The breakfast was delicious & arrived piping hot. The staff were welcoming & friendly.
