Magnolia Cottage B&B

We are experienced travelers and like to be self-contained as we travel about on our electric tandem. Magnolia Cottage fitted the bill. The cottage is roomy, the kitchen is compact and the Wi-Fi excellent. We'll be staying there again when next in the area.

Cottage was clean and tidy and location was great

Apart from being left a few amenities to tide us over for breakfast the first two days while the owners were away, you cannot call this a bed and breakfast. The expectation was to have breakfast delivered/available and rubbish removed daily, and our towels changed a few times in an 8 day stay, and fresh linen and a room clean at least halfway through our stay (none of this happened). We had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels on day 4 when these were not supplied, although they were delivered promptly and with a smile, but we should never had had to ask every time we wanted/needed something, it should have been part of the service. We were discounted $100 from the overall cost on our last day because they had not supplied us breakfast daily, which only made it more annoying that they were aware we should have been given breakfast each day, otherwise you are only paying for a bed, (not a bed and breakfast) and costs should be adjusted accordingly. If it had only been a 2night weekend we were staying, or only advertised at a cost for just a bed, we would have been more than happy with everything we were provided with, but definitely left feeling disappointed for an 8night stay.

Very spacious, very clean and the family running the B&B were all so nice and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice with homemade bread, milk, apple juice, jam and honey. We really enjoyed our stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Magnolia Cottage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The breakfast each morning was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was the perfect way to start each day! Ann, the host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She was incredibly accommodating and always available to assist with anything we needed. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Magnolia Cottage for anyone looking for a private relaxing and welcoming getaway! Will definitely be my go-to when I'm in the area!

The only thing I can really think of is that there was no streaming device for the TV, so you just have regular channels. I don't think this is really an issue though.

Perfect location close to town.

It was very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast delivered too.

Some milk in the fridge on our arrival would be good.

Peaceful countryside location. Short distance away from the town centre. Sheep and cows just outside the cottage. Warm morning sunshine right into the lounge. Comfortable bed.
