Drumhirk House

A lovely guest room in the family house. Rather weirdly, my glass-doored room opened on to the TV lounge. But since I had the place to myself, that became my personal lounge. If the place is busy, you might find that a bit lacking in privacy.

The room opening onto the TV lounge may not be private enough for some, when the place is busy. But when you have the runof the place, as I did, it's lovely.

Louise was extremely accommodating when I ran into a little car trouble on my way to her house with my daughter. She knew how to get our car back on the road in no time. We were already anxious about attending a medical appointment the next morning, but she put our mind at ease with her friendly advice and caring attitude. She's a wonderful woman. Not only did we have the best nights sleep, but woke to a lovely breakfast that set us up for the day ahead. An added addition is her cat Alfie, a family pet, but he's like a therapy cat, and soon got to work on my anxious daughter. Louise and Alfie made our stay a wonderful experience. For parents attending the Insight clinic for child assessment, I highly recommend you stay with Louise. Xx

Louise is a wonderful host with great recommendations. She is very friendly & made us feel right at home. Her house is beautiful, comfortable & close to Belfast and the Antrim coast. We highly recommend & will stay here again when we are in the area.

It was unseasonably warm and a small fan in the bedroom would been nice. The breeze thru the windows was lovely though.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stay at Drumhirk House I recently had the pleasure of staying at Drumhirk House, with Louise and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Here are some highlights of my stay: Hospitality: Louise, was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect and more. She went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Room: The room was cozy, spotless, beautifully decorated, plenty room for my bike gear, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast: The breakfast was another highlight! delicious, fresh, locally sourced, with a variety of many options. Location: The B&B is perfectly situated along a peaceful part of countryside, away from all the noise from traffic and the nearby town, stunning views. Parking: Being a biker with a heavy BMW GS, the location has very safe & secure parking with a hard tar top surface, no "marbles" which for me was a major choice for this property. Extras: Louise also serves up some of the best home baking I have tasted, to which for a long time biker I'm quite experienced on this type of pleasures........ I would highly recommend Drumhirk House to anyone looking for a relaxing, charming, memorable, getaway. I can’t wait to hopefully return! Thank you, for such a lovely experience! Your friend, Roy

Having to leave after only one night stay, and of course the weather, too much rain........

Host is very enthusiastic and outgoing, offering helpful literature and tips about the local area. Lots of plug sockets provided in the room. Nice breakfast / relaxing area kindly provided downstairs. Parking straightforward.

Bathroom is private i.e. allocated, but not en suite. There is a cat in the property, which isn't allowed in the bedrooms, but could trigger allergies if you are very sensitive.
