Woodlands House

The family who own and run Woodlands are exceptionally friendly and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms are first class, the breakfast is the best you'll find anywhere. If you're especially lucky you might get to hear Nancy the daughter practice the fiddle,a real talent. The house is set in the most relaxing of grounds with a trout and salmon stream running through.

The property is beautiful and very private. Beautiful home with amazing scenery all around. Our host was incredible, absolutely communicative and accommodating. It was such a pleasure to stay in her home and enjoy breakfast the next morning. The rooms are even nicer than the pictures. Everything is spotless and I got the best sleep of the trip in this bed. I will certainly be recommending this stay to friends!

Very friendly owners. Tasty cooked breakfast and plenty of cold accompaniments too. A huge walk-in wardrobe space. A quiet location making for a good night's sleep and a very friendly house cat.

A kettle for hot drinks would have been great in the shared lounge or in our room.
