The Isabela Beach House

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and very romantic. We visited for our honeymoon and the room, staff, and breakfast were outstanding. We will be dreaming of this place for years and would recommend to anyone visiting the Galapagos!

Such a wonderful place. Beautiful property right by the beach with super friendly staff. Especially Melany is a lovely person who instantly made me feel welcome and really cares about her guests. She helped organize tours and also gave me great advice on how to discover the island on my own. The location is also great, easy walking distance to the ferry pier and concha de perla (awesome snorkeling spot). And what could be a better start to your day than having breakfast right at the beach with a beautiful view? I absolutely loved staying here and hope to come back one day :)

Isabela Beach House is so charming. It’s right on the beach, and though it seems secluded, it’s convenient to the docks and to town. The real gem, though, is Melanie at the reception desk. She was absolutely delight, helpful, and anticipated our needs. 5 stars for Isabela Beach House and Melanie!

A wonderful guesthouse right on the beach, yet in a quiet location. The rooms are large, quiet, and clean. It's great to be able to walk out of the hotel and swim in 15 seconds. The beach is beautiful and the ocean is warm. The main restaurants and shops are a leisurely 10-15 minute walk away. It's very conveniently located, equidistant from the port and the city center. Excellent breakfasts with fruit, eggs, coffee, and delicious smoothies. The entire staff is very pleasant and eager to help. One downside: there's no refrigerator in the room, but we knew that in advance.

I'm removing two stars because of an unpleasant incident with the transfer to the port. We had an early ferry from the port and asked for a taxi to be called at 4 a.m. By 4:10 a.m., no one had arrived. We were afraid of missing the ferry and had to walk along a dark, muddy road in a pouring rain. All our luggage was soaked by the time we got to the port. If it hadn't been for the downpour, it wouldn't have been so critical; the port isn't very far, but we were unlucky. So keep in mind that if you book a transfer through your hotel, it might not show up. I don't know whose fault it is, the hotel or the driver, but perhaps the hotel should work with more reliable drivers, since it's impossible to just hail a taxi from the street at 4 a.m.
