Clean, well equiped and Madeline was lovely

The location of Flint Lodge was perfect for me. Close to family who live nearby, close to the seafront and local shops, cafes. Flint Lodge is Madelines home, she was very welcoming and friendly. I stayed in the single room which was very clean, had all that I needed. A lovely touch with a bottle of still water and a duo packet of Border biscuits to have with a cuppa! I had the use of a bathroom for myself which was very clean and towels provided which were soft, as well as shower/bath gel/bath salts if needed. The area is very quiet, bed comfortable which meant for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was great, a tasty variety from cereals to melon and pastries, fresh coffee and juice. Thank you Madeline!

Madeline was charming & generous host, The house was exceptionally clean & the breakfast was continental style with extras. Parking was right outside the house, and being in such a quiet area, I had no worries about vandalism or damage to the car. Room was adequate for my needs

The shower was over the bath, so I had to step in over the sides. No slip mat, which was an issue the first morning there, as I slipped & grabbed the towel rail, which came away from the wall!! Luckily, no damage to me or the wall & the rail was easily fixed. The towels were lovely & soft, but the bath towel was very small. In fact, I thought I had two hand towels to start with. The mattress on the bed was very soft, which was a little un-comfy for me, but I do appreciate this is a matter of personal choice.

It was quiet, comfy, beautifully decorated, and exactly what I was looking for.

The only thing I didn’t like was being asked not to wear shoes inside. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
