Fateh's Retreat

If you are reading this review: don’t hesitate to book it! It already started before the reservation, when I called to try to organize the safaris: beyond helpful and nice! Besides the beautiful facilities and extra cleanliness, the location in nature and the good food, the service is more than 5 starts. We were in Fateh’s in January and it was cold, but when we arrived from the safaris, the room was warm and the bed was ready (not to mention that they cleaned the room 2x per day). Coffee was also freshly made for us before the morning safaris, which was also heart-warming :) Jyoti ma’am is attentive to all the customers and made us always feel special and welcome. Ah! And the story of Fateh and their continued mission in Ranthambore is incredible. Cannot recommend more this homestay.

Fateh's retreat was the perfect place to stay as a base whilst on safaris. Our room was tastefully furnished, spacious and clean with a lovely balcony with great views. The bathroom was clean and well equipped with one of the most powerful showers I've ever experienced! The breakfasts were tasty and freshly cooked to order and served outside by the pool amongst the gardens and wildlife. We ate at Fateh's cafe all 3 nights we were there and the food was amazing. Usha the owner was very warm friendly and told some great stories of tigers and the history of Fateh's Retreat. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

Very personalized service…Very beautiful, quiet & private.

I will start off by saying this: if you are deciding between a few hotels to stay in Ranthambhore, you won’t be disappointed if you stayed at Fateh’s Retreat. It is certainly not a cheap option to go for, but absolutely worth the splurge. There are not just a few plus sides of staying here; first of all, we were greeted upon arrival by Jyoti, who has been incredibly warm and helpful, and looked after us our entire stay. She is very knowledgeable of the park and all aspects of the procedures of the safaris. She assured us that the canters will pick us up from the hotel entrance and informed us of the time we have to be ready, and prepared an easy ‘before the safari’ breakfast (before our actual breakfast when we returned) and handed us essentials such as blankets (it was a must-have for the morning safari) and water bottles. This ensured us the best seats on the canters, and as far as I’m aware, to get a taxi to the entrance of the safari could be quite expensive. We saw tigers on both canters trips, and we were so incredibly lucky to have a wonderful sighting at our morning safari. Now I’ll speak about the retreat itself - it is just wonderful - when you set your foot in the premise it gives you a real sense of peace. The garden is well-maintained and full of beautiful plants and birds. It has a lovely pool looking out to the wilderness. It was simply a wonderful space to be in. The room was clean, quiet, and bed was comfortable. The shower has incredibly high pressure too! The retreat is also trying to be sustainable; Jyoti told us the water will be used to water the garden, and the hot water is generated by solar panels, and they have a vegetable garden that supplies ingredients to the kitchen etc. There is a restaurant, a cafe and a bakery attached to the Retreat, we had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant twice - the service was impeccable and food was delicious.
