Villa Miodula

It is located in a nice neighborhood with a great view of Tatra Mountains. Our room faced the neighbor, which was fine as you never see them much, but they have other rooms with balconies facing the mountains. Beds were comfortable, and bathroom was a good size (nice soap dispenser in the shower). Breakfast was amazing, and eating it outside at the tables with the view of the mountains was priceless. Hosts were kind and helpful.

Wish the WIFI info was posted in-room or reception desk so we didn't have to ask. Almost all of Zakopane is under constant building construction, so don't expect a super quiet area. If you do need that, then look further out of town.

Breakfast had a lot of options and variety. The man who worked there was very friendly. Parking was easy. Location is pretty and less busy than the other areas of Zakopane. Pizzeria that is closeby is great. It has a nice appearance to the hotel. Some of it is thoughtfully designed like the sensor lights as you walk around the hotel, with the wooden decor. The shared kitchen is a thoughtful touch as well, and the little bottles of water.

Unfortunately, did not meet expectations. We arrived within check in hours, there was nobody there and the door was closed. Had to call the number, and spoke with a woman who said we should have an access code that she will send. I agreed, got no access code for ten minutes then had to call back again. We were given our room number via phone and that is it. There was no information about when or where breakfast is, or wifi code etc, and no information sheet in the rooms. So I had to walk around the empty reception desk and use google translate on a piece of paper in Polish that had the information lol. If it is self check in then this should be advertised, because that is fine if you are prepared. But we changed our plans to ensure we came during their hours and still nobody was there and no info was sent through. There was no apology for not sending any of this information. Not as nice as we expected, for example when we checked in the curtain for the window had half fallen down and we had to glue it back on. We always put our laptop case under the bed when travelling but this is the only time when I have removed it and it was covered in dust, not even a little bit, but so much dust as if it had not been touched for many months! I've never stayed at a hotel that did not vacuum under their beds. The soap dispenser in the shower was also empty. Room for improvement.

Breakfast is fantastic! Room was super clean and spacious. Hosts went above and beyond to welcome us into their villa. Many thanks!
