Barnfields Retreat

We were welcomed by the host on arrival and was very attentive to our needs. 9 yr old son with me loved the freedom of big garden and pond to venture too and the dog was a major hit and good company for him. We were going to Walton 1 day so much closer than coming from home. Very unique stay with a round bed and statues around house and garden . our room was nice with balcony and seating and sofa indoors for couple of nice chilled evenings. Host found out I had food intollerances and was thoughtful and went out to get more suitable supplies for breakfast.

Everything from the looks both outside and inside, the spacious garden with some cool statues and trees. Small pond at the back with a bench to enjoy the view and weather. Lovely and helpful hosts with great conversation. The room was beautiful and cosy with a balcony. Even got to see an owl in the night.

Early Sunday morning from 4:30pm . We could hear people talking loudly in the next room and walking up and down. Otherwise we loved the stay.

John was very friendly and helpful. Lovely large quirky house 🤩

If I found anything it would be that the floors needed a good hoover & clean throughout

Property was tired and dirty, shower drain was blocked but price per night was still pretty high at £129! Not what I expected for that nightly fee
