Boreal Porto Gaia - Patio & Pool

Recommendation. Very nice place, great host and a very good breakfast.

Excellent location just one minute from the metro into the centre of Porto and also walking distance to all the viewpoints/tourist locations of Gaia and Porto. Bruno is a superb host - very friendly and approachable. I would highly recommend this property!

Everything was very good. Very clean room with all necessary staff. Bruno is very gentle, kind and attentive. Every morning he brought us breakfast to our room, because due to classes we couldn't go downstairs. Thanks for this.

Our host Bruno and his lovely family couldn't have been more helpful. Communication with Bruno prior to our arrival was excellent. We arrived on a dreary evening and we were not up to exploring very far. Bruno recommended some very local eateries, and the BBQ place we went to was great. Thanks Bruno! Bruno also took time to explain the local area and make recommendations for how we might spend our days in Porto. He gave us a map and marked helpful information on it. Every day over our delicious fresh breakfast we'd talk about the day ahead and he'd ask how our previous day had been. We couldn't have had a nicer host. We really enjoyed being able to chat with other guests too, over breakfast. It reminded me of my months travelling a few years ago when staying in hostels. One of my favourite things about travel is meeting other people!! The accommodation itself was beautiful and it was clear that a lot of work had gone into making it such a lovely guest house. I liked the staircase and the art and collectibles that adorned the walls and landings. The room was spacious and well designed. It was a nice space to relax in. The pool and patio were a lovely bonus, particularly for my mum who needed a half day of rest. On our last day Bruno gave us breakfast to go as we had an early train to catch. It was one of his delicious home made cakes!! Yum!! I wish we had had longer in Porto, partly because there's a lot to see, and it's such a picturesque city, but mostly because we loved our stay here. I wouldn't hesitate to return. The only thing that was a struggle for my mum was the stairs, but Bruno carried our cases up and down, so that solved the biggest concern. We knew there was no lift, so this is not a complaint. More to highlight how great Bruno was!!

Absolutely loved my stay here. Bruno is a fantastic host and will give you great guidance with regard of things to do and see in Porto. The breakfast was also really good! 10/10

The location was great, room was clean and spacious and having the pool was lovely! Bruno and his family are wonderful hosts, he even arranged a bottle of wine to be waiting for us when we arrived! Great recommendations too for local food and sightseeing options. Would very happily stay here again and recommend to others.
