Can’t find anything I didn’t like

I had a calm and relaxing stayed at Terra Del Valle. Only a few rooms which makes it perfect for a quiet getaway. I was welcome with an artisanal wine of glass, made by them; follow by a tour of the facilities. The kitchen is a common area, all our drinks and food were conveniently stored in the fridge, able to access all day and night. The room was ample and cool. Loved the rustic decor, it remained me of my grandma’s ranch in Mexico. There was a small area in the back with a table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful view of the vines and nature. I’ll booked again for sure.

The staff was great and very friendly.

The dirt roads but that is everywhere in the town.

Breakfast was delicious! The orange juice was freshly squeezed. The egg and ham English muffins were yummy. We loved the toast with fresh jams.

The location was removed from traffic after a busy day driving. Very relaxing and peaceful location.

Nacho and the staff did a great job. They were friendly, helpful with suggestions and made our first trip to Valle del Guadalupe a great trip. I think if you look at the pictures, they do the property justice. The room was plenty spacious for my wife and I. The bathroom was great. The room heater, (it was February), kept the room very comfortable. The bed was perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was a great chance to talk to others, share experiences and practice our Spanish. Our breakfast was fresh squeezed red orange juice, tea and coffee, the Nacho version of the egg mcmuffin which was a really nice starter for a day of alcohol and food. There were also fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil and cheeses with rosemary and garlic. I really liked the cheese' texture. Finally, there was toast and about 12 varieties of marmalades and other tasty goodies. As our first trip by car this far into Mexico, the property which is gated, and the surrounding area felt safe and secure the entire trip. This was close to some really good wineries with views.

The one thing that we were not impressed by in VdelG were the roads. There were potholes everywhere in the Valley. The government needs to support this important tourist area with better infrastructure. I would recommend never trying to go through a puddle Having said that, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!, TERRA DEL VALLE HAS PAVED GOOD ROADS ALMOST THE ENTIRE WAY TO THE PROPERTY.

Terra del Valle is a very beautiful intimate property. The landscaping lends to the peacefulness. The setting in the orange grove gives the property a very private feeling. It is very quiet at this property. The rooms are very clean, very spacious, quiet and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and we forgot to ask what kind of sheets they use, super soft. The communal breakfast room is like being in a friend’s house. We found ourselves spending over an hour each morning. The coffee, delicious, and the fresh squeezed OJ, of course from the property orange trees is never ending. Much thanks to Joanna (sic?), Ignacio’s employee who was super attentive preparing toast, egg and ham breakfast sandwiches, and more toast so we can all sample the dozen or more homemade preserves and marmalade. The marinated fresh sliced tomatoes, cheese plate and a plentiful amount of olives is a great touch….and once again delicious. Ignacio, the property owner, joined us every morning. He has many stories and much knowledge to share about the area. The property is close to is to a good number of wineries. The road to the property including the roads in the surrounding area are in good shape. We will return again as other guests we met there have been doing for years.

The owner 's (Ignacio’s) main business is raising oranges. The property has 16 acres of orange trees with a few of wine grapes. In 2014 he built five rooms (each with a private bath) for “guests", an office and kitchen. The first time my husband and I stayed at Terra del Valle was shortly after it opened. Since then a jacuzzi and lap-pool have been added and a CHARGER for electric vehicles which we greatly appreciate. We also appreciate that the construction is 100% ecological and self-sustaining. Bales of wheat straw were used for the walls to keep the building cool during the summer and warm in winter. (There is additional heating controlled by a thermostat, however, as well as ceiling fans.) The plaster is made of natural materials—lime and sand. Electricity is supplied by solar panels. Breakfast (which includes eggs, toast, ham, cheese, fresh orange juice, homemade preserves and jams, cereal, milk, coffee, tea) is served from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the kitchen next to the office. The kitchen, that is open 24/7, has a refrigerator where guests may store food and beverages. Cups, an electric teapot, and a variety of delicious teas, and fresh fruit are always available (at no extra cost). The central patio and garden are lovely. We went out for 4 or 5 hours every day to visit a winery or two and to eat late lunch/early dinner. The rest of time we were at Terra del Valle reading, walking on the grounds, enjoying the CLEAN air and beautiful surroundings. I haven't seen another place I like more. We spent three nights this time; next time we will stay four. ADVICE: during low season many restaurants are open only on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays. Reservations are strongly recommended during high season.
