We would have preferred to have paid for our meals in pesos rather than US dollars .

The suite is fantabulous if you want an ocean facing room. It is spacious and offers great views of the bay. You can literally hear the ocean (loudly) but it's soothing after initial adjustment. The villa has old world mexican charm. It is spacious. Mexican peso ride to old town. But yeah, not walking

1. The locks to open any door, especially the door of the top suite. Gosh they are stuck and it's a task to lock and unlock. Also rather flimsy doors but I guess the property is old. 2. Smell of moisture in cupboards. 3. Small fees that should not exist. I was charged a late checkin fee for arriving at 10:20pm. And then an additional fee for 2 hour late check-out at 2. After staying 3 days, am sure that could have been offered free. Talk about winning a returning customer, but no. 4. The bath area accumulated water when you are bathing, it does not drain quickly. Just a small thing but it's annoying.

Location and charm

Traditional Mexican style and feels like a private house. The open air suite was wonderful to fall asleep to the waves. The balconies (Alejandro) perfect to gaze at the sea and sky and whale watch all times of day. Private beach with beverage and snack service. Daily delicious cooked breakfast al fresco. And the staff was amazing! Easy to get a $5 uber to town or walk there )about 25 min) along the beach.

Nothing. But be aware there are many stairs.

The staff were wonderful. Location fabulous. Shared common areas with nice friendly guests. Top deck with chairs and tables and great viewing. Private. Breakfast provided. Can walk to town on the beach about 25 minutes to the pier.

Stairs, stairs and more stairs. We were warned but still. This is not a place for anyone with mobility issues. Stairways were narrow. Also our room was not very sound proof.

Breakfast was OK. Fresh squeezed OJ and 6 options for entrée. Staff were very welcoming. Sound of the nearby surf was very soothing.

A bit more shabby than chic. Much of our view from the balcony was blocked. If you want to do anything, it's a cab ride. They charged us $30 USD when my wife's son came to celebrate her birthday.
