Beautiful historic house.

Perfect location, with a feel of being at home. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive to the guest needs. Our favorite spot in Southampton. A hidden gem

Fabulous location - so easy to walk to the shops and restaurants of Southampton and the beach is about a half hour walk away:) staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and wine every evening - lovely.

The staff could not have been more kind and accommodating. Incredible service, and we loved the breakfast every morning! They had beach chairs and beach towels available for us to borrow, and they had wine and cheese every afternoon for guests. We even got to see their wine cellar!

It did get a little hot at night, but that is expected with an older place. There were large pillars in our room that we had to be careful not to run into late at night, but the room overall was very charming.

Location is perfect as it is nestled along the main street. We could walk to most places easily. We took the LIRR and took an Uber to 1708; we got Ubers almost immediately. The property is extremely charming and so lovely; it is like stepping back in time. It is a wonderful place to take a break after the hustle and bustle of NYC. We stayed in the cottage and were very happy with the amenities within it. Breakfast is amazing; John is so cheerful and friendly and his food is incredible! Great start to our days. The kitchen is also open to guests so we were able to get drinks and snacks even after hours. That is a great convenience to us as well. I would highly recommend 1708 to anyone visiting Southampton for the first time.
