Love the whole ambience of this B&B. The charm of the whole place takes you back know time.

We loved the delicious and copious breakfast every morning and being able to hang out and play games in the common room.

Breakfast was fantastic! Bed very comfortable. The house is lovingly decorated and cared for. It is located in the historic section of Hollidaysburg. Owners are very friendly.

Quiet, clean and the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent!

Character and quality in a small historical town. Don’t expect a tv - the rest is there.

Delightful breakfast. Location was perfect for exploring my hometown on foot.

The Victorian B&B was lovely, our room was surprisingly spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Our proprietor was so nice and prepared an excellent breakfast each morning (that even included duck eggs that a neighbor had dropped off). And the shared living room (parlor) is filled with a huge collection of mountain dulcimers and other stringed instruments, which my musician husband was welcome to play, so that was a fun way to spend part of an evening. Hollidaysburg is a charming town just outside Altoona, and the B&B is an easy 5-minute walk to the main square, where the shops, restaurants and magnificent courthouse are located. (We had a wonderful meal at the Mayfield, located in a historic hotel 4 blocks away.) And we paid less for our room than our relatives did at a name-brand hotel chain 5 minutes away in Altoona!

These are NOT things we didn't like (we actually had no problems with them at all), but just things to be aware of before booking at Allegheny Street B&B. 1) As is expected with historic houses, there is no elevator and all of the guest rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and it was a bit of a climb, especially at the end of a long day. 2) There are no TVs in the guest rooms or common areas - which isn't a problem at all if you're looking for somewhere to unplug and unwind. 3) The proprietor doesn't serve beef or pork products, so expect turkey bacon/sausage at breakfast.

Breakfast was fantastic and host was very attentive.

Due to the type of heating, we could not control the temperature of the room. The room was on the cool side for the evening we checked in.
